Stong history of collaboration with leading environmental researchers worldwide
Macroclimate® — together with colleagues at Minnesota’s Institute on the Environment (IonE) and the climate data division of Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS-Ethix) — presented a collaborative research paper on the state-of-the-art in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) data at a Yale University Symposium in September 2017. The paper (pdf) is entitled Geofinancial Engineering Initiative: Using Real Time Environmental Data from Satellites to Move Financial Markets and Improve Climate Outcomes. A short form of the paper also appeared in Physics World.
Vision Prize® was a research partnership that captured scientific meta-knowledge on climate risks and solutions, in collaboration with the UK’s Institute of Physics (IOP Publishing) and researchers at Carnegie Mellon University. A three-year study of the expert opinions of 340 climate scientists worldwide was completed in December 2014. See: Research Findings.
Members of Macroclimate’s Quantitative Research Team served as project leaders for this study, which inspired — and inform the investment strategy — of Macroclimate® Wealth Management service.
